Overcoming porn addiction:
coaching and therapy for men

Many men come to experience their pornography use as problematic at some point. Some speak of porn addiction; others simply notice: “I’ve wanted to stop for a long time—and yet I keep going.”

Perhaps you’ve decided to consume less pornography or to quit altogether. Maybe you’ve had phases of abstinence—only to fall back into old patterns. And perhaps you have the sense that your relationship, your sexuality, or your self-respect are suffering as a result.

If you recognize yourself in this description, you are not alone.

From my perspective, the key question is not whether your behavior can be labeled as “addiction” or “dependency.” What matters much more is this: What function does pornography serve in your life?

I am convinced that every man who consumes pornography has a good reason for doing so. Often, porn helps regulate stress or cope with feelings of frustration, loneliness, or overwhelm. In that sense, your pornography use serves a purpose—which is precisely why it cannot simply be switched off through willpower alone.

Pathways toward a more conscious way of relating to porn – and your masculinity

My work is not about self-optimization or discipline. Instead, I support you in understanding the deeper dynamics behind your pornography use: What function does it serve for you? Which needs are you meeting through it? And how might you begin to meet those needs in other, more sustainable and conscious ways in the future?

For me, conscious masculinity means coming into contact with your own sexuality, power, and vulnerability. This has nothing to do with morality—there is no “right” or “wrong” here. Rather, it is about establishing a more intimate and respectful relationship with yourself, and stepping more fully into your own personal responsibility and agency.

Whether your goal is abstinence or a freer, self-determined way of relating to porno is your own choice. My role is to accompany you in your process — toward greater inner connection, clarity, and growth that can truly sustain in the long run.

About me: my own personal path — and professional training

I work as a Focusing-oriented therapist, trainer in Nonviolent Communication, and teacher of applied mindfulness. Combined, these three approaches offer a powerful path toward a more conscious form of masculinity — and a free, self-determined relationship with pornography.

I have walked this path myself. I know the inner tensions, the ambivalence between “I want to stop” and “I keep going”, the shame, the inner justifications, the struggle for control. That is why I meet men with a particular depth of understanding — not from a place of clinical or professional distance, but from personal experience that I have integrated. In my work, personal maturation and profound therapeutic training come together.

More specifically, my work is grounded in the following qualifications:

  • 15 years of daily meditation practice, including 3 years in Buddhist centers and monasteries

  • trainer in Nonviolent Communication (certified, 7-year training program)

  • Focusing counselor and coach (certified, 2-year training program)

  • teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion, MSC (trained, 1-year training program)

  • yoga teacher and embodiment coach (certified)

  • additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • licensed to practice psychotherapy in Germany (HPG)

Process and pay

I offer coaching for men residing in Europe, and both coaching and therapy for men residing in Germany. I usually meet clients online through Zoom. I ask €119 for a single session (60 minutes).

New insights and a deeper understanding of your patterns often emerge within the first few sessions. For lasting change, however, more consistent support is usually helpful. If you would like to give our work a more committed framework, you can book a package of 3 sessions for €300. Setting a clear structure in this way can support you in staying engaged when inner resistance arises.

At the beginning, we usually work on a weekly basis. After a few sessions, we take time to reflect together and discuss the next steps.

A 30-minute introductory call is free of charge and without obligation.
